ROBERT M. DRYDEN, M.D., F.A.C.S.
Robert M Dryden, M.D., FACS, is Medical Director of the Arizona Stem Cell Treatment Center and Arizona Centre Plastic Surgery. Dr. Dryden completed his undergraduate training at the University of California at Davis, where he was Phi Beta Kappa (U. C. Berkeley chapter) and Phi Kappa Phi Honor Societies after only three years. He then matriculated at the University of California, School of Medicine where he was first in his class, elected to Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society and a recipient of the prestigious Merck Award. After doing a rotating surgical and medical internship at the University Oregon in Portland, he completed a residency in ophthalmology at the University California in San Francisco. He was the first fellow in the prestigious fellowship in eye and facial plastic surgery under Drs. Crowell Beard and Marvin Quickert at the University of California. He subsequently spent two years at the National Institutes of Health as a member of the United States Public Health Service and consulted and performed cosmetic and reconstructive surgery at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda. Dr. Dryden has been practicing and teaching in Tucson and Phoenix, Arizona and at the University of Arizona Medical School since 1971. His practice includes eye and facial reconstructive plastic surgery, general cosmetic surgery, bio-identical hormone replacement and stem cell deployment as the Medical Director of the Arizona Center Stem Cell Treatment Center. Dr. Dryden is board certified in ophthalmology as well as board certified in General Cosmetic Surgery by the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery where he has been both a Trustee and Treasurer. Dr. Dryden was one of the initial founding members of the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive surgery and has served as President and Treasurer of the organization. He also served as a President of the American Society of Cosmetic Breast Surgery. He has published over 90 articles in peer-reviewed journals and book chapters in various textbooks. He is a Clinical Professor at the University of Arizona School of Medicine and Mentor of a fellowship in general cosmetic surgery and has taught doctors from around the world. Additionally, he has spoken and taught both nationally and internationally for 40 years. He is a pioneer in the use and development of the latest innovative surgical techniques in eyelid surgery, facial cosmetic surgery, liposuction surgery and breast surgery.

STEVEN M. GITT, M.D., F.A.C.S.
Steven M. Gitt, M.D., F.A.C.S. specializes in cosmetic surgery, offering the latest and most innovative techniques in: facial rejuvenation, breast augmentation, laser surgery, liposuction and body contouring and all facets of cosmetic surgery. His patients describe him as caring, compassionate, and understanding and as an excellent listener and communicator. As the founder and medical director of North Valley Plastic Surgery, established in 1993, Dr. Gitt graduated college with distinction from UCLA in 1982 and from medical school with distinction from Wayne State University in 1986. Dr. Gitt was elected to membership in the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) national medical honor society in 1985. RYAN B. TSUJIMURA, M.D.
Ryan B. Tsujimura, M.D. graduated magna cum laude from the University of Washington in Seattle with a B.S. in Biology. He remained in Seattle where he graduated at the top of his class and earned his Medical Degree from the University of Washington School of Medicine. Dr. Tsujimura initiated his postgraduate training at the Oregon Health Sciences University (University of Oregon) in Portland, Oregon where he did his internship in General Surgery. He then moved to Phoenix where he finished his residency in General Surgery. During this time he became Chief Resident of the Burn Unit and then Chief Resident of Surgery in his last year of training. He was given various awards during his training, but the most meaningful was the distinction made by the Chairman of Surgery/Program Director and Mentor: “I’ve been training surgeons for over a decade, you’re the best surgeon I’ve been fortunate enough to train.” Certified by the American Board of Surgery, Dr. Tsujimura took an Attending Trauma Surgeon at Maricopa County Hospital. This gave him the opportunity to “give back” to the community and to teach future surgeons. To help influence the surgeons of tomorrow. During this time, he also entered practice and joined the staff of the Scottsdale Healthcare System performing general and vascular operations. Dedicated to patient care, he rapidly became the surgeon to turn to in a time of need. In the continued pursuit to perfect his skills, Dr. Tsujimura took an educational leave from a busy practice to obtain still further training at the Nationally Accredited by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and RRC (Residency Review Committee), Plastic/Reconstructive and Hand Surgery program at the University of Tennessee. While there, he published and lectured on various topics in Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery. He also became Administrative Chief Resident. Even during his training in plastic surgery, because of his surgical experience he was frequently called to the operating room by staff surgeons in times of crisis.

TODD MALAN, M.D.
Dr. Todd Malan is a pioneer of stem cell medicine in the United States. In October 2009 Dr. Malan performed the first U.S. Adipose Derived Stem Cell assisted fat transfer breast procedure. He has been pivotal in developing safe protocols for stem cell harvesting and has trained hundreds of physicians world wide in the safe and effective use of adipose derived stem cells. Dr. Malan began to seek out ways to utilize adipose stem cells for regenerative applications after a close family member was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS). Dr. Malan now divides his practice time into cosmetic stem cell procedures and regenerative medicine research for patients with chronic disease and degenerative disorders. ELLIOT B. LANDER, MD, FACS
Co-Medical Director :: Elliot B. Lander, M.D.F.A.C.S. is a Board-Certified Surgeon. He was born in Los Angeles, California. He graduated Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Occidental College with Distinction in Biochemistry. He attended medical school at the University of California, Irvine. For six years after medical school, Dr. Lander studied General Surgery and then Urologic Surgery at the University of California, Irvine. He was a Clinical Assistant Professor of Urology at the same institution while in practice at a large HMO in Orange County for five years. During that time he was active in teaching residents and doing research. He has many publications in the urologic literature. Dr. Lander has been elected as a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He has served as Chief of Urology at Eisenhower Medical Center and Chief of Surgery at John F. Kennedy Hospital. Dr. Lander has been on staff at Eisenhower for fourteen years. He is also an Expert Reviewer for the California Medical Board. Dr. Lander is currently involved in cutting edge urologic stem cell treatment research and is a member of the International Cellular Medicine Society, a global nonprofit organization dedicated to patient safety and education regarding the medical use of adult stem cells. Dr. Lander specializes in Male Hormone Replacement and has developed special protocols to administer male hormones safely in men with a history of prostate cancer.
MARK BERMAN, MD, FACS
Co-Medical Director :: Dr. Berman, the 2010 President of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, has been in private practice in the West Los Angeles area since 1983 and has been practicing in the Desert Area since 2003. Dr. Berman graduated from UCLA prior to completing medical school at the Chicago Medical School. He is a clinical instructor in facial plastic surgery through the University of Southern California. Dr. Berman is a Diplomate with the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology (Head and Neck Surgery). He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Los Angeles Magazine has named him one of the Top Doctors in Southern California. Dr. Berman is well known for his work with stem cell / fat grafting to restore three-dimensional volume to the aging face. This has led him to his work with adipose derived stem cells. He is also known as a pioneer in the use of Gore-Tex materials in cosmetic surgery. He holds a patent on an e-PTFE breast implant device – the Pocket Protector – used to improve breast augmentation surgery. He has also authored a novel – Substance of Abuse – a controversial sexy thriller that suggests a solution to the war on drugs. Dr. Berman and his wife, Saralee, have one son, Sean, two dogs and two turtles.
JACKIE R. SEE, MD, FACC
Jackie R. See M.D., F.A.C.C. is a Board Certified Internist, a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and pioneer of the specialty of Interventional Cardiology. He founded the teaching program of Interventional Cardiology at the UC Irvine School of Medicine with Jonathan Tobis M.D., F.A.C.C. and Walter Henry M.D., F.A.C.C., prior Dean of the UC Irvine School of Medicine. He is currently the elected Co-President of his alma mater, the UC Irvine College of Medicine Alumni Association. He was born in Missouri and earned his undergraduate degree at UC Riverside. After graduation from medical school and completion of his Internship he served on active duty as a Medical Officer in the United States Navy. This was followed by Residency and Cardiology Fellowship at the Huntington Memorial Hospital and Research Fellowship in Medicine at the Peter Bent Brigham Hospital, Harvard Medical School in Boston. Dr. See has served as Chief of Staff, Vice-Chief of Staff, Chief of Medicine, Chief of Cardiology, Cath Lab Director and other elected Medical Staff positions at Southern California and Nevada Hospitals. He has been on the Medical Staff of the Western Medical Center, Anaheim, from 1983 to the present. Dr. See has published in peer reviewed journals, lectured, invented, patented, developed and marketed enabling technology in digital angiograpthy, angioplasty and ultrasound devices and pharmaceuticals, cholesterol lowering dietary supplements, drug eluting stents, MRI and CT imaging agents, liposomal drug delivery systems, oral vaccine development, stem cell biologic pathway activity, stem cell delivery quantitation devices and Islet Cell Transplantation development. He is a Founding member of the Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography, member of the International Liposome Society, Alpha Omega Alpha Society member, member of the Society of Echocardiography and other special interest groups. Dr. See has been a Scientific Advisor for many biotechnology companies and has participated in dozens of clinical trials in cardiovascular disease and diabetes. This has been done while engaged in maintaining an active practice of medicine continually since 1976. He is an active member of the California and Orange County Medical Association. Dr. See, his wife of 42 years, three sons and seven grandchildren share their gratitude of the endless opportunities we enjoy by living in America.
JON BRASLOW, MD
Jonathan S. Braslow M.D., an orthopedic surgeon who has practiced at John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital for over a decade, is the medical director of the hospital’s Arthritis Institute. He specializes in arthritis treatment, particularly knee replacements, and has a breadth of experience in the development and design of joint replacements. Dr. Braslow’s extensive experience in joint replacement includes his designing and developing a number of products, including the Implex Hedrocel Unicompartmental Knee Replacement for Implex Corporation, the Genus Unicompartmental Knee Replacement for BioMet, and the Knee Ligament Surgery Instrumentation and Reconstruction Techniques for De Puy Corp. and Osteonics. He serves on the international development team for Zimmer Corporation, one of the largest manufacturers of orthopedic implants, working on the next generation of partial replacements incorporating trabecular type metal. Dr. Braslow has received license and certifications from the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery, the American Association of Orthopedic Surgeons. He is recognized as a Qualified Medical Examiner in Orthopedics and a Radiology Supervisor/Operator in Fluoroscopy by the State of California. Past appointments include Governing Board Member of John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital (1996-99) and as the hospital’s Chief of Surgery (1994-96). He is also a member of a number of professional associations, including the California Medical Association, the California Orthopedic Association and the Medical Board of California, among others. Graduating with honors from the University of California, Riverside, where he received a B.A., he went on to earn his M.D. at the University of California, Irvine. Dr. Braslow then went on to complete his residency at the University of Southern California Medical Center in Los Angeles where he received the award for Outstanding Senior Resident. A California native, Dr. Braslow was born on Catalina Island in the city of Avalon in May 1947. He and his wife currently reside in Indio with their two daughters, Jacqueline and Juliet.
TIMOTHY T. DAVIS M.D., DABPMR., DABPM, DABNM
Timothy T Davis, MD is Board Certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (Physiatry) and Pain Medicine. He is an expert in spine and musculoskeletal disorders. He has performed extensive research using growth proteins and other biological therapies such as stem cells to repair damaged spinal discs. Dr. Davis is originally from Lake of the Ozarks Missouri, and attended the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine 6 year Program, graduating with a combined BA/MD at 24 years of age. After earning his medical degree, Dr. Davis completed his surgical internship at Ochsner Medical Foundation in New Orleans, Louisiana. He then completed his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of California, Los Angeles Medical Center. During his residency, he was a member of the spinal cord injury team at Rancho Los Amigos Hospital, where he received extensive training in the management of acute and chronic spinal injuries. Dr. Davis has given dozens of peer reviewed presentations nationally and internationally, has been published in several journals, and routinely gives educational lectures to other physicians across the country on spine and musculoskeletal treatments. Dr. Davis has been recognized as a “Top Doctor” by US News and World Reports, and has received the Patients’ Choice and Compassionate Doctor Recognition awards. Dr. Davis is on medical staff at Saint John’s Health Center and Cedars Sinai Medical Center. He is a member of the North American Spine Society, American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, American Academy of Pain Medicine, North American Neuromodulation Society, and International Spine Intervention Society.
THOMAS J. GROGAN, M.D.
Dr. Grogan is a practicing pediatric orthopedist in Santa Monica, California. He has seen over 3,700 patients in his practice alone. Dr. Grogan graduated cum laude from Princeton University with a degree in Biology and received his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. Dr. Grogan’s orthopedic training has included an orthopedic residency at UCLA plus several orthopedic fellowships in pediatric orthopedics, trauma, and NIH sponsored joint replacement surgery. Following his orthopedic training he returned to Los Angeles, spending six years at Shriner’s Hospital for Crippled Children, including serving as Assistant Chief in 1996 and 1997. In addition to his clinical practice, he spent several years involved in managed care consulting as an orthopedic surgeon and has developed special expertise in this area. He has collaborated with the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons in the development of a handbook and audiotape entitled, “Health Care Reform and Managed Care: A Guidebook for Orthopedic Surgeons”. In addition, he has served as the lead faculty member for the AAOS for their 1995, 12 city educational seminar, “Taking Charge: Managed Care Contracting for Orthopaedic Surgeons” and as a faculty member for the AAOS’s 1996 seminar series entitled, “Winning at Risk: The Interplay of Cost, Quality, and Access in Orthopaedic Practice”. He most recently served as a faculty member for the AAOS’s 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012 seminars, “Practice Management Symposium for Practicing Orthopaedic Surgeons’. He is currently chairman of the Practice Management Committee for the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and a member of their Council on Education. He is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha, Honor Medical Society, the Sigma XI Scientific Research Society, California Orthopaedic Association (COA), the Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America (POSNA), the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), and is a diplomate of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.
STUART T. MAY, M.D.
Dr. May is a Board Certified Diagnostic Radiologist with a subspecialty CAQ (Certified Added Quality) in Vascular and Interventional Radiology, and Level II Cardiac CT. He received his undergraduate and medical degrees from Louisiana State University. Dr. May completed his residency at Louisiana State University, and his fellowship at University of California, San Diego. While in Louisiana, Dr. May founded the first women’s mammography and health screening center in the state. In 1990, Dr. May moved to the Coachella Valley and became the Director of the Vascular and Interventional Radiology Department at Eisenhower Medical Center where he helped develop one of the first aortic stent graft programs in Southern California. During his tenure, Dr. May also served as Chairman of the Department of Radiology. In 2001 Dr. May established one of the first virtual colonoscopy programs in the nation and helped in the development of the first FDA approved 3-D virtual colonoscopy system with the Viatronix Corporation. In 2003, Dr. May started the first MRI Breast Cancer Detection program in the Coachella Valley, one of only several in the country at that time. For the past ten years he has been at the forefront of whole body screening with MRI, CT, and ultrasound. Dr. May has helped establish one of the first outpatient MRI-guided prostate biopsy and laser centers in the world. He also specializes in therapeutic injections using stem cells, plasma rich platelets, and corticosteroids. Dr. May has presented numerous lectures nationally and locally on Cardiac CT, Virtual Colonoscopy, Breast MRI, and Prostate Cancer.
JOHN FELLER, M.D.
Dr. Feller completed his undergraduate training in metallurgical engineering and materials science at the University of Notre Dame graduating cum laude (1978-1982). He then attended the Ohio State University School of Medicine graduating summa cum laude (1983-1987). Dr. Feller subsequently completed four years of postgraduate medical training at Stanford University School of Medicine, culminating in board certification in Diagnostic Radiology (1987-1991). Following fellowship training in orthopedic and body MRI (1992), Dr. Feller served in the US Air Force as Chief of MRI at David Grant USAF Medical Center; a position he maintained for four years (1992-1996). Dr. Feller is currently the Medical Director and Founding Partner of Desert Medical Imaging in California, and Chief of Radiology as well as a Partner in American Medical Center in China. He was the MRI Consulting Radiologist for Desert Orthopedic Center from 1998 to 2010. He maintained an academic affiliation with Stanford University where he was an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Radiology (1991-2006), and is now an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Radiology at Loma Linda University. Dr Feller was awarded the Volunteer Clinical Faculty Teacher of the Year in 1992-1993 from Stanford University Medical Center Department of Radiology. Dr. Feller has co-authored numerous peer- reviewed journal articles, book chapters, and is an editor of the textbook Shoulder Magnetic Resonance Imaging. He has given over 300 invited lectures worldwide on orthopedic, prostate and body MR imaging.
MONROE STERNLIEB, M.D.
Dr. Monroe Sternlieb, D.D.S. is a Board Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon. He received his Dental Degree from The University of Southern California in 1984, graduating with high honors. Dr. Sternlieb was awarded a certificate of Outstanding Achievement in the Undergraduate Study of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, in 1984, by The American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He was undergraduate vice president of the Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity for three years. He completed a residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, at Los Angeles County U.S.C. Medical Center, in 1987. U.S.C. was the largest teaching hospital west of the Mississippi and a designated Level One trauma center. The program was significantly oriented towards reconstructive surgery of the facial region, including soft tissues of the head and neck region. The program included extensive training to harvest bone from the cranium, ribs and hip to reconstruct the facial skeletal structures. He performed numerous reconstructive surgeries of the TMJ during his residency. Dr. Sternlieb was in private practice in Beverly Hills from 1987 until 1993. During this time he was on staff in the Department of Surgery at Cedars Sinai Medical Center, in Los Angeles. Dr. Sternlieb developed a practice sub-specialty focused on the diagnosis and treatment of the TMJ. Cutting edge techniques in the eighties and nineties, such as meniscus repair or removal (with alloplastic or interpositional flap reconstruction), partial or total joint reconstruction, arthroscopic joint surgery as well as in office joint lavage were routinely utilized. Dr. Sternlieb relocated to the Coachella valley in 1993, and has been in private practice, in Rancho Mirage, to date. He is on staff in the Department of Surgery at Eisenhower Medical Center, in Rancho Mirage. He has continued to treat TMJ disorders via various therapeutic modalities, including minimally or noninvasive means, including “Therapeutic Magnetic Resonance” (“TMR”). Dr. Sternlieb is deeply dedicated to the welfare of his patients. He has enthusiastically committed himself to partake in the study of the therapeutic efficacy of adult stem cells for TMJ disorders, with its potential to revolutionize treatment.
ROLAND REINHART, M.D., A.P.C.
After graduating from UCLA, Dr. Reinhart attended medical school at Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas. He completed his residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, where he was chief resident. Dr. Reinhart has co-authored a number of articles in anesthesiology dealing with patient safety. He wrote two chapters in the pain management textbook Decision Marking in Anesthesiology. In 1991 he joined the medical staff at Eisenhower Memorial Hospital where he served as Chief of Anesthesiology. Dr. Reinhart decided to devote his entire energy toward pain management problems and in 1998 went into solo practice. In 2000 Dr. Reinhart founded Advanced Pain Management, dedicated to providing the best medical technology available for alleviating pain and suffering. Dr. Reinhart’s philosophy is that “now, more than ever, you have options to alleviate your pain.”
CHRIS DUMA, M.D., F.A.C.S.
A board certified neurosurgeon specialist and Graduate of Georgetown University’s Neurosurgery training program, Dr. Duma specializes in surgical brain tumor management, Gamma Knife and CyberKnife™ radiosurgery, and the surgical treatment of movement disorders. Dr. Duma practices at Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian in Newport Beach, California (Orange County), Orange Coast Memorial Medical Center (Fountain Valley, CA), and UC Irvine Medical Center, in Los Angeles, CA, and is one of the most experienced in his field, having been in practice for more than 20 years. Dr. Delaney received his M.D. from New York Medical College in 1986 and went on to do a surgical internship at St. Luke’s Hospital/Columbia University in New York. Dr. Peter Hanson is a San Diego native. After graduating from Monte Vista High School, Dr. Hanson attended Occidental College in Los Angeles from which he graduated Phi Beta Kappa. He stayed in Southern California, attending the University of California, Irvine Medical School. He graduated with honors in 1986, president of his graduating class. He ventured north to Sacramento, completing his internship and Orthopaedic residency at the University of California, Davis Medical Center in 1991. Interest in total joints replacement surgery led to a fellowship in adult lower extremity total joint reconstruction at The Scripps Clinic in La Jolla. Dr. Hanson came home to La Mesa and joined Grossmont Orthopaedic Medical Group in August of 1992 and has enjoyed all aspects of his Orthopaedic practice, which includes sports medicine, arthroscopy, shoulder reconstruction and lower extremity total joint replacement including introducing the anterior hip approach to East County. He has held major leadership positions that have been focused on patient care. He has been Chief of Orthopaedic Surgery, and for over 12 years has served as the Medical Director of Orthopaedic Surgery at Grossmont Hospital, a position that involves orchestrating the Total Joint Replacement program for the hospital. SPENCER OLSEN, M.D.
Dr. Olsen grew up in Montana before traveling to Purdue University where he earned a BS in Neurobiology and Physiology. He went to medical school at the University of Washington where he also did an internship in General Surgery. He stayed in Seattle to complete residency in Environmental and Occupational Medicine during which time he served as chief resident and earned a Master’s degree in Public Health. Thereafter Dr. Olsen took a clinical position in Occupational Medicine in San Diego where he served as medical director for over 4 years. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Preventive Medicine and completed certification in Age Management Medicine as well as stem cell deployment. Dr. Olsen is an active sports and outdoors enthusiast. He has climbed several mountains around the world, snow skis whenever possible, and earned black belts in Judo and Brazilian Jiu-jitsu. His love for sport led to an interest in Preventive Medicine which stresses avoidance of unnecessary disease or injury, optimal treatment to prevent disability, and restoration of function. Dr. Dr. Renald Bernard is a medical doctor and native of Quebec, Canada. He obtained his medical degree from Laval University. As a family medicine physician, he began to develop an interest in varicose veins very early in his practice. He has trained with distinguished phlebologists in France and Canada. Dr. Bernard served as the Director of the Canadian Society of Phlebology for nine years. Dr. Bernard moved to the United States in 1983 and maintained an interest in the field of varicose veins. Dr. Michael Otte graduated from the University of Nebraska Medical Center and did diagnostic radiology residency at Emory University in Atlanta. He is certified by the American Board of Radiology and completed fellowship training in Musculoskeletal Imaging at the University of California San Francisco. He has specialized in Orthopedic, Rheumatologic, Orthopedic Oncology and Sports Medicine imaging for over fifteen years. He performs injections of all joints and of the spine for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes. Dr. Otte is married with two daughters and lives in Denver, Colorado. He works at the Invision Sally Jobe Centers with Radiology Imaging Associates providing specialty outpatient imaging and pain management therapy.

Dr. Joel Singer, a board certified plastic surgeon, leverages over 30 years of extensive medical experience in Westport, Connecticut. Dr. Dedo is a triple board certified facial plastic and cosmetic surgeon. He graduated from Northwestern University Medical School and did his internship at University Hospital in Jackson, Mississippi. After a five year residency at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, he served his country in the USAF at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. For the past 35 years he has practiced in the Palm Beaches specializing not only in the diseases of the ears, nose and throat but also has been a pioneer in facial plastic and cosmetic surgery. As an author of a textbook in facial surgery, along with several chapters in medical texts he has also published over 45 papers. Recognized by his peers locally he was elected president of the Palm Beach County Medical Society. Nationally, he was elected President of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. Dr. Dennis Lox was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Arizona and maintains an active membership in the honors society of Phi Beta Kappa. After graduating from Texas Tech University School of Medicine at San Antonio, Dr. Lox completed his residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center. Upon completion of his residency, Dr. Lox moved to Florida and settled in the Tampa Bay area. Dr. Lox is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and is referred to as a Physiatrist.

Dr. Smyrniotis graduated from Indiana University with Bachelor of Science degrees in both Chemistry and Biology. Ashley R. Curtis, M.D. received her Doctor of Medicine from the Medical College of Georgia. After holding a Chief Resident position at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, N.C she joined Dermatology Associates of Atlanta. Before commencing her medical education, Dr. Curtis graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology with highest honors in her B.S. in Industrial Engineering. With a medical focus on dermatology and the treatment of hair loss, Dr. Curtis is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, Women’s Dermatologic Society, and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. Dr. Kathleen Morno is a native Chicagoan and graduate of Loyola University Medical School, where she finished at the top of her class. She completed her residency in ophthalmology at Loyola University Medical Center, and later, completed additional training in laser vision correction (LASIK) and facial aesthetic enhancements. Dr. Morno has had a thriving private practice for the past 12 years in the northwest suburbs with thousands of loyal patients. In addition, she has served an underprivileged, inner-city community by providing much needed ophthalmic care. Her spirit of service has allowed her to participate in several medical missionary trips to Guatemala. She is an active fundraiser for many non-profit organizations such as SHARE, Haiti earthquake relief fund, No Kid Hungry and Eye Care America, to name a few. Dr. Freedberg completed his orthopedic residency at the University of Illinois in Chicago. Dr. Chris Lowery is a native of Fishers, Indiana. He obtained his undergraduate degree from Indiana University and his Master’s degree from Ball State University. Dr. Lowery received his medical degree from The University of Health Sciences in Kansas City Missouri in 2000. He went on to complete his General Surgery Residency at Kettering Grandview Medical Center in Dayton Ohio. Dr. Lowery is dual board certified in General Surgery as well as Cosmetic Surgery and had practiced in Indianapolis for 5 years with Surgery Associates of Indiana. In 2008, Dr. Lowery was accepted into the prestigious Jackson Cosmetic Fellowship where he recently completed his cosmetic training. Frank was raised in eastern Ohio and attended Ohio State University. He obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in 1966 from the Ohio State University. He received his Medical Doctorate degree in 1970 from the Ohio State University College of Medicine. After graduation Frank joined the US Army for his internship at Madigan Army Hospital, Fort Lewis, Washington. In 1971 Frank entered a 3 year Diagnostic radiology residency at Fitzsimmons Army Medical Center, Denver, Colorado. Upon completion he received certification from the American Board of Radiology. He was named Chief of the Department of Radiology at Irwin Army Hospital, Ft. Riley, KS. He achieved the rank of Major during his 6 year service to the US Army. In January 1977 he joined Manhattan Radiology. During his 35 years the practice of Radiology in Manhattan Frank helped expand the practice to a regional imaging center. The practice grew to include diagnostic plain film imaging, digital imaging, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, mammography, CT scanning, CT guided biopsy, body, neuro and musculoskeletal MRI, arteriography, interventional procedures, diagnostic and therapeutic joint injections. Frank was involved in helping the Radiology practice to expand from Manhattan to include surrounding hospitals within a 100 mile. During this time Frank served as president of the hospital Medical Staff on 2, president of the Manhattan Medical Center, chairman of the hospital Credentialing Committee and participated in numerous medical and community organizations.His family includes his wife Jan Ferguson Lyons, 2 daughters, their husbands and 7 grandchildren. Through Jan’s efforts and leadership we established Lyons Ranch, a registered Angus operation here in the Flint Hills of Kansas. Lyons Ranch is a 3 generation cattle operation which has received many seedstock, environmental and stewardship awards. Both daughters, their husbands and 7 grandchildren are in the cattle business.

ANDREW POPE, M.D.
Dr Andrew Pope is a native of Northwest KS. He attended the University of Kansas for his undergraduate training where he graduated with honors. He received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Bachelor of Arts in Biology. He was able to fulfill his passion for medicine and attended the University Of Kansas School Of Medicine, obtaining his Medical Doctorate in 2009. Dr Pope, having been raised in a small town, stayed true to his roots and pursued a residency in primary care at Via Christi Family Medicine through the University of Kansas. He was trained to provide comprehensive care, including Obstetrics with Caesarian Sections, Colonoscopy, EGD, inpatient and outpatient care. He finished his residency in 2012, after which he joined nine other physicians in a busy private practice in Manhattan, KS where he provides a wide spectrum of care to all ages. Dr Pope has a unique interest in adult stem cell therapy and the potential that it yields. He is passionate in following the latest modalities utilizing adult stem cells and being able to provide access to this expanding field of medicine. In his free time, Dr Pope enjoys providing care at the local free health clinic as well as various outdoor hobbies including golf, basketball, and upkeep on his ranch. He also dedicates a majority of his time outside of work to his wife and young children.

HAZEM BARMADA, MD, FRCSEd, FRCS (CTh)
Dr. Barmada studied undergraduate applied biology in London in the mid-sixties; and in 1967, he founded the Brunel Equestrian Club, where he also instructed in horse-riding and dressage. In 1968, he gained admission to the prestigious St. Andrews University (Scotland’s oldest university) to study Medical Science. There he founded the Karate club of St. Andrews. Later, in 1973, while a medical student at Manchester University in England, he founded three Karate Clubs, where he also instructed in Karate, reaching the 4th. Dan (grade) of black-belt.
Dr. Barmada’s medical career began in 1974, when he graduated from Manchester University Medical School. After finishing his internship in hematology he held a one-year residency in pathology and another in internal medicine. He believed that such experience would make him a better surgeon. In 1977, he started a general surgical residency, followed by a residency in cardiovascular and thoracic surgery, working with two of the giants of cardiac surgery: Donald Ross, MD, and Professor Sir Magdy Yacoub, the world’s most experienced heart transplant surgeon. Over the next several years Dr. Barmada acquired extensive experience in cardiac, thoracic and vascular surgery, including trauma.
Being passionate about sport and sports medicine, from 1974 to 1984, Dr. Barmada served as Medical Officer to the “United Kingdom Karate-do Federation,” advising on and treating sports injuries at national and international events. In addition, he served as Medical Officer to the “Martial Arts Commission of Great Britain.” During a visit to Japan in 1973, Grand-Master Hironori Ohtsuka, endorsed Dr. Barmada and presented him with his commemorative, not-for-sale book. Ohtsuka, was famous for founding the Wado-Ryu style of Karate, for developing the current system of scoring in Karate and for being the only person in the history of sport to be honored by the Emperor of Japan, with the “Medal of the Rising Sun.”
In 1991, Dr. Barmada joined the Heart Institute at St. Vincent Hospital in Portland, Oregon, as Chief Fellow working alongside the world-renowned Cardiac Surgeon, Dr. Albert Starr, the first surgeon in the world to insert a valve in a heart. He later became Associate in Cardiac Surgery at Harvard University’s Beth Israel Hospital. In 2000, he went to settle on the Mississippi Coast where he operated extensively at several coastal hospitals, performing thoracic, cardiac and vascular (incl. endovascular) surgery. Over the years he became especially interest in renal dialysis access as well as venous and lymphatic disorders. In Summer 2011, Dr. Barmada decided to dedicate more time to his enlarging office-based vascular practice; and in addition developed his interest in Stem Cell research, since he had been fascinated by the use of stem cells for treatment of many inoperable conditions including vascular occlusions, severe COPD, heart conditions and many others, that he used to encounter frequently in clinical practice. Dr. Barmada’s prestigious awards and associations include memberships of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons, the Society for Vascular Ultrasound, the American Venous Forum, the American College of Phlebology; and Fellowships of the Royal Society of Medicine, England, the Royal College of Edinburgh in General Surgery and later in Cardio-Vascular Surgery and Fellowship of the British, four Royal College Boards in Cardio-thoracic Surgery. He possesses two active medical licenses in Mississippi and Louisiana and four dormant licenses in Massachusetts, Oregon, Washington and California; and has three US patents in Cardiac and vascular surgery.

JEFF NOBLIN, M.D.
Dr. Noblin joined Bienville Orthopaedic Specialists in 1997 and is a co-founder and co-medical director of the Sports Medicine Center of Bienville Orthopaedic Specialists. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons and a former President of the Mississippi Orthopaedic Society (April 2009-April 2010). Dr. Noblin was Team Physician for the NFL’s Kansas City Chiefs during his sports medicine fellowship at the University of Missouri–Kansas City in 1996-97. In addition to earning the academic All American in 1986, Dr. Noblin was also an All-Southeastern Conference performer as a safety at the University of Mississippi, honorable mention All American, recipient of the SEC Scholar Athlete Award, and recipient of the NCAA and National Football Foundation Hall of Fame post-graduate scholarships. Dr. Noblin graduated from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine in 1991.
BOB TERRELL, M.D.
Dr. Terrell brought his practice to Bienville Orthopaedic Specialists in 1997. He is a co-founder and co-medical director of the Sports Medicine Center of Bienville Orthopaedic Specialists and the Director of the Osteoporosis Center of Bienville Orthopaedic Specialists. Currently, Dr. Terrell is serving as the Chief Medical Officer of the International Softball Federation (ISF). His expertise in orthopaedics has given him the opportunity to serve as Chief Medical Officer for the ISF at the Olympic Games in Atlanta (1996), Sydney (2000), Athens (2004), and Beijing (2008). Dr. Terrell’s involvement with the Olympics began when he served as a Doping Control Officer for the U.S. Olympic Drug Control Program and as the United States Olympic Committee physician at U.S. Olympic Festivals in San Antonio (1993), and St Louis (1994), as well as the Pan-American Games in Argentina (1995). He received his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Oklahoma and completed his residency at Oklahoma Teaching Hospitals’ Department of Family Medicine. Dr. Terrell is board certified by the American Board of Family Practice with an Added Qualification in Sports Medicine. He is also a Certified Clinical Densitometrist, recognized by the International Society for Clinical Densitometry.
YEKATERINA KARPITSKAYA, M.D.
Dr. Karpitskaya joined Bienville Orthopaedic Specialists in 2011 and specializes in general orthopaedics and sports medicine. She is a former member of the United States Air Force. She is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and double board certified in sports medicine and general orthopaedics.
JOHN K. DRAKE, M.D.
Dr. Drake, who specializes in hip and knee replacement surgery, founded Bienville Orthopaedic Specialists in 1981. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons and is one of Mississippi’s most experienced surgeons in the area of total joint replacement. Dr. Drake is a former president of the Mississippi Orthopaedic Society. He completed an AO Fellowship in complex fracture care at the University of Basel, Basel, Switzerland in 1980 and a trauma fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in 1981. His practice now consists primarily of hip and knee surgery including primary and revision joint replacement, arthroscopy surgery and robotic computer-assisted partial knee replacement. Dr. Drake performs over 300 joint replacements per year.
HAROLD M. HAWKINS, M.D.
Dr. Hawkins joined Bienville Orthopaedic Specialists in 1983 in general orthopaedics. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons and has previously served as Chief of Surgery at Biloxi Regional Medical Center (1985-87) and Chief of Surgery at Ocean Springs Hospital (1986-87). He also served as President of the Medical Staff and Chairman of the Medical Executive Committee at Biloxi Regional Medical Center in 1994-95. During his military service he served as Flight Surgeon and Chief of the Ambulatory Patient Care Clinic at Fort Leonard Wood in Missouri (1976-78).

Dr. Wittersheim served as resident of orthopaedic surgery at the University of South Alabama, Department of Orthopaedic Surgery in Mobile, AL before joining Bienville Orthopaedics. He is a graduate of the University of South Alabama and the University of Alabama School of Medicine. Dr. Wittersheim is licensed to practice medicine in Mississippi, Alabama, and Arizona. In his free time he enjoys mountain and road biking, playing his guitar and shooting skeet.

In 1976 Dr. Popp began his medical studies at the University of Nebraska College of Medicine where he received his medical as well as Bachelor of Science degree in May 1979. Thereafter, Dr. Popp was a resident in the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center from 1979 through 1982. After his residency, Dr. Popp began a fellowship in oculofacial plastic surgery in association with the University of Arizona Medical School in Tucson. He completed this in the summer of 1983 and began his private practice. Following his oculofacial plastic surgery training, Dr. Popp became board certified in facial plastic surgery in 1986. Through continuing post-graduation education, he has persisted at attaining the hightest level of cosmetic surgical training available, achieving full board certification in general cosmetic surgery in 1997. He is a regional expert and national instructor of tumescent liposuction and oculofacial plastic surgery. Dr. Popp was an instructor of head and neck surgical anatomy at Stanford University from 1982 thru 2005. Since 1982, he has authored over 20 medical papers and book chapters, as well as given lectures and surgical instruction on more than 50 occasions throughout the United States and Europe. Dr. Popp, along with 47 other physicians, was an investigator of botulinum toxin (Botox) under FDA protocol prior to its approval for general use in 1989. He has used Boxtox since 1982 with over 35,000 injections given to date.

Kamau Kokayi, MD received his medical doctorate from Yale Medical School, and then completed his residency with board certification in Family Medicine. He is a long-time member of NHL Team Physicians Society and is an expert on asthma and respiratory problems in athletes. Dr. Stevens also serves as the President and Medical Director of the American Institute of Healthcare and Fitness in North Raleigh. Among other awards, Dr. Stevens was the 1999 recipient of the Citizen of the Year Award by the Multiple Sclerosis Society of North Carolina. Dr. Stevens is married to Dr. Patience Stevens and they have 3 sons. During his spare time, Dr. Stevens can be found surfing, skateboarding with his sons and helping them with local boy scout activities.
ELENA RUSYN, PHD
Dr. Elena Rusyn received her medical degree from the prestigious Medical School of Bogomolets National Medical University in Kiev, Ukraine. She completed her residency training and fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at the Academy of Postdoctoral Medical Training in Kiev. She continued her medical research and earned a PhD in Allergy and Immunology with a subspecialty in Clinical Cardiology. After moving to the United States, Dr. Rusyn completed postdoctoral training at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, which was followed by two years at Harvard Medical School/Massachusetts General Hospital, one year at Gray Cancer Institute, London, Uk and five years at Duke University Medical Center. In 2009, she passed the United States Medical Licensing Examination, subsequently becoming interested in the field of anti-aging medicine. KRISHNA BHAT, MD
Dr. Bhat is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He graduated from University of California, Davis in 1996 with a bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences. He completed medical school at the American University of the Caribbean in 2001 and residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Rush University Medical Center in 2005. From 2004 to 2005, he served as Chief Resident of the program. Since the completion of training, Dr. Bhat has been in private practice. He is an active member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, American Academy of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine, North American Spine Society, and International Spine Intervention Society. Dr. Mark A. Foglietti (pronouned ‘Fuhl-yetti) was born and raised in the Steubenville, Ohio area. He attended Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio where he received his Bachelors of Science Degree and completed one year of post-graduate work in microbiology and virology. He then went to Medical School at Ohio University, where he currently serves as a Clinical Professor in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. The Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine is nationally recognized as one of the top physician training programs in the country. With 17 years of higher education, medical, and surgical training behind him, Dr. Foglietti started his career by joining Drs. Dinner and Artz at The Center for Plastic Surgery. He soon became board certified in both plastic and reconstructive surgery and in general surgery, later co-founding the Woodlands Center for Plastic Surgery, located in Sagamore Hills, Ohio. For over a decade, Dr. Foglietti has published numerous papers in a variety of internationally recognized medical and scientific journals. Michael J. Kellis, D.O. is the Director of Geauga Sports Medicine, Inc. Dr. Kellis is board certified in family medicine and sports medicine and was one of only 200 board certified sports medicine specialists initially recognized in the United States. Board Certified Internal Medicine (ABIM) Dr. Bill Johnson was born in Dallas, Texas, and graduated with honors from Texas Tech University with a pre-med degree. Dr. Johnson received his doctorate from Texas Tech University in 1981 and completed his internal medicine residency at Tech in 1984. From 1984 until 2000, Dr. Johnson practiced as a partner at Lubbock Diagnostic Clinic, serving many of those years as president of the group. Dr. Johnson opened his first practice in Grapevine in January of 2002. In 2005, Dr. Johnson added aesthetic medicine to his practice. In 2006, Dr. Johnson’s Grapevine practice was renamed Innovations Medical, which has since expanded to include offices in Dallas and Fort Worth. Dr. Johnson lives with his wife of 30 years Rhonda in Dallas. He is an avid cyclist and baseball fan.

Donald G. Wortham, MD, FACS is triple Board Certified through the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery, American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and American Board of Otolaryngology (head and neck surgery). He received residency surgical training from the University of Washington and UCLA, where he earned several national academic awards. He completed a Cosmetic Surgery Fellowship in Beverly Hills with Mel Bircoll, MD who had triple board certifications in Cosmetic Surgery, Plastic Surgery, and General Surgery and in Chicago with Richard Caleel, DO who was the President of the Board of Cosmetic Surgery and double board certified in Cosmetic Surgery and General Surgery. Since beginning his practice in the greater Seattle area in 1987, Dr. Wortham has helped thousands of women and men in the Northwest refine their noses, cheeks, chins, and eyelids, lift their brows, foreheads, and faces, add curves where none existed before, eliminate lumps and dimples that spoil silhouettes, and reverse wrinkling and sagging caused by time, gravity and unprotected sun exposure.

Having successfully completed his medical and surgical training at the University of Glasgow, United Kingdom, Dr. Z Teo took a keen interest in medical aesthetics and surgery. Dr. Aivee Aguilar-Teo is a board certified Dermatologist with a special interest in cosmetic laser. aesthetic surgery, and stem cell therapy. Upon graduating from the University of Santo Tomas, she finished her 3 year residency program in Dermatology graduating at the top of her class. She went for further training in Louisville, Kentuky (USA) and Ramathibodi Hospital in Bangkok, and was awarded a prestigious scholarship award to train in the famous National Skin Center of Singapore. In 2012, she pioneered the use of stem cells extracted from fat through the stringent protocol of Autologous Fat Stem Cell Repair (FSCR) in the Philippines with aim of further enhancing anti-aging and atesthetics as well as treating medical and dermatological diseases and ailments that conventional medicine are finding it difficult to address. Dr Aivee is an active member of The American Academy Of Anti-aging Society.
